Following are the Northwest Territories PNP requirements for immigration through Critical Worker Stream
- Must be connected to the NWT- worked in territory for at least 1 year in a TEER 4 / TEER 5 category job.
- Work experience for at least 6 months in the territory in TEER 4 or TEER 5 job under the same employer making the current job offer.
- Must have a full-time permanent job offer from an NWT employer
- Educational Levels or required qualifications as per the applied job.
- Must have valid language test scores in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4)
- Must demonstrate proof of settlement funds - $10,000 primary funds and $2,000 per accompanying dependent
ii. Skilled Worker Stream
The Northwest Territories PNP targets skilled workers to meet the demands of the labor market in Northern Canada. The program qualifies candidates with in-demand skills for provincial nomination under TEER categories 0, 1, 2, and 3. Both the employer and employee must meet specific requirements to be eligible for this stream.
Following are the Northwest Territories PNP requirements for immigration through the Skilled Worker Stream
- Candidates must demonstrate that they have legal status to work in Canada
- Must have a full-time job offer from an NWT employer belonging to the TEER 0,1,2,3.
- Educational qualifications as per the mentioned job offer receipt
- Applicants must have a minimum of one year of full-time experience in the same occupation similar to the job offer received.
- Minimum Language proficiency of CLB 6 for TEER 0 & 1 and CLB 5 for TEER 2 & 3.
3. Business Stream
Individuals seeking to invest in or set up a business venture in the Northwest Territories may qualify under the Business Stream category of the Northwest Territories Nominee Program NTNP. Below is the illustrative of step by step process for NTNP Business Stream immigration
Eligibility Requirements for Business Stream of Northwest Territories PNP include:
- Must be able to demonstrate investment ability of at least $300,000 CAD in a business in Yellowknife or $150,000 CAD in a business outside of Yellowknife.
- Must have a net worth of at least $500,000 CAD if starting a business in Yellowknife or $250,000 CAD in case of a business outside of Yellowknife.
- Must have valid language test scores in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4).
- Showcase your knowledge and understanding of the territory's economy and business environment.
- Must possess the necessary experience and education to effectively execute the proposed business plan.
- Must not have any other active applications with other provinces or territories in Canada or any other programs under NTNP.
- Should not be a refugee claimant
- A deposit of $75,000 is required and will be held in trust, to be released upon successful fulfillment of the terms outlined in the Business Performance Agreement.
- Applicants must have a minimum ownership stake of 33.3% in the business they intend to acquire or establish. However, if the personal equity investment exceeds $1 million, ownership can be less than 33.3%.

- Police Certificates: Police clearance certificates or police checks from each country or territory where you have resided for six months or longer since turning 18.
- Medical Examination: Complete the required medical examination by a designated panel physician and include the results with your application.
