Victoria Australia has officially relaunched its 2024-25 Skilled Visa Nomination Program, extending a golden opportunity to working professionals seeking a pathway to permanent residency in one of the country's most dynamic and liberal states.
With 5,000 nomination places on offer, the program is actively seeking skilled workers both onshore and offshore, to contribute to Victoria's thriving economy and vibrant community. The program allocation includes:
- 3,000 places for Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)
- 2,000 places for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491)
Candidates must first submit or update their Expression of Interest (EOI) on Skill Select Australia and follow it with Registration of Interest (ROI) for Victorian nomination.
Applications will be accepted until 4:00 PM AEST, Tuesday 29 April, 2025 or until all the places are filled.
Who is Eligible?
The state is welcoming skilled workers who meet the following general eligibility criteria
- Must be under 45 years of age at the time of nomination
- Competent English fluency - minimum IELTS of 6.0 in each section or equivalent
- Must have a valid Skill Assessment in a listed occupation
- A score of at least 65 points on the Australian PR point test (inclusive of nomination points)
- A genuine commitment to live and work in Victoria
Occupations In Demand for Victoria Nominations 2024-25
While all the occupations on the national Skilled Occupation List Australia are considered eligible, Victoria is prioritizing candidates in key growth industries which include:
- Health
- Social Service
- Education (Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary)
- Construction
- New Energy
- Digital Economy (491)
- Advanced Manufacturing (491)
- Hospitality and Tourism (491)
Onshore applicants must be currently residing in Victoria, however, offshore candidates (especially applicants in priority sectors) are strongly encouraged to apply for nomination.
