Prince Edward Island Sends Out 132 Invitations for Provincial Nomination

On August 21, 2025, Prince Edward Island sent out invitations to a total of 132 foreign nationals to apply for provincial nomination. The province has majorly focused on candidates who are living and working in PEI in high-demand occupations and sectors, prioritizing international student graduates from select universities and colleges.
So far in 2025, PEI has issued a total of 792 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through its PNP.
Prioritising In-Province Candidates and Priority Sectors
The draw is prioritising foreign nationals employed in high-demand occupations critical to PEI’s economic growth, including healthcare, trades, construction, and manufacturing.
Additionally, international graduates from local post-secondary institutions, such as the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île, received special consideration.

PEI PNP Streams and Eligibility
PEI offers various immigration routes, such as:
- Labour Impact Stream
- Skilled Worker Stream
- Critical Worker Stream
- International Graduate Stream
- PEI Express Entry
- Business Impact Stream
- Work Permit Stream
The eligibility criteria for each category and its respective stream(s) varies. Apart from meeting category/stream criteria, candidates must also be admissible to Canada, and meet federal Express Entry requirements (if applicable).

Up until now in 2025, PEI has issued a total of 792 ITAs, with close to 791 streams under the Labour Impact and PNP Express Entry categories and just one via the Work Permit stream.
