Ontario invited applicants with experience in any of the 42 healthcare occupations under its Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream on February 6, 2024. The Province Nominee Program includes Ontario. The first step in the Canadian PNP process is a provincial nomination, which leads to permanent residence in Canada.
2,086 invitations for permanent residency (PR) were sent out on February 6th as part of the new OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programme) Express Entry draw for 2024. This is the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program's (OINP) first round of invitations for the Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP) in 2024.
14, OINP HCP stream draws issued 17,502 invitations for permanent residency in 2023. For all of the 2023 HCP draws, click this link. Candidates for Express Entry who have worked in any of the 42 healthcare-related occupations are eligible to enter this OINP draw.
2,086 notifications of interest (NOIs) were sent out in the most recent round of invitations for the first OINP HCP draw, which is scheduled for 2024. A determining factor was the candidate's ranking score, which was tied to the Express Entry. Those Express Entry candidates who met the Human Capital Priorities stream requirements and had a Comprehensive Ranking System ranking score between CRS 379 and CRS 430 were invited.
The candidates chosen in this drawing will be given forty-five days to claim their provincial nominations by responding with a thorough application.
These profiles will receive 600 points after receiving an OINP nomination, increasing their CRS score to between 979 and 1,030, guaranteeing their inclusion in the upcoming general Express Entry draw.
