On July 29, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) increased the minimum funds requirements for foreign nationals applying through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). In comparison to the 2024 funds requirements, applicants will now need to have CAD 140 more to qualify the criteria.
For a single applicant, the minimum funds required for AIP have increased by approximately 3.89%, i.e., from CAD 3,672 in 2024 to CAD 3,815 in 2025. However, the individuals who are already employed on a valid Work Permit in Canada are exempted from this requirement.
