Canada's Third Express Entry Draw of August 2025 Issues 2500 PR Invitations

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has successfully conducted the third Express Entry draw in a week. On August 8, 2025, the IRCC issued 2,500 ITAs to candidates who demonstrated proficiency in the French language, allowing them to apply for Permanent Residency. Candidates having a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 481 were selected in this draw.
Some of the notable draws in 2025 so far include:
- On March 21, 2025, a French-language draw was conducted, inviting 7,500 candidates, where the minimum cut-off CRS was 379.
- On July 22, 2025, the Healthcare and social services draw was conducted, inviting 4000 candidates with a CRS score of 475.
- On May 1, 2025, an Education draw was conducted, inviting 1000 candidates with a CRS score of 479.

As of August 8, 2025, a total of 49,628 ITAs have been issued. All the alternating draws above have a common pattern to notice between the Provincial Nominee and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) since June 2025. Specialised category-based draws, such as Healthcare, Social Services, Education, and French-language proficiency, appear frequently.
All the cut-off scores vary widely, with PNP draws consistently requiring the highest score.

The Express Entry draws were mainly focused on PNP draws, with the remainder of Express Entry ITAs dedicated to CEC candidates.
