Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program issued 72 invitations under the Skilled Worker Stream to candidates both locally and internationally, based on strategic recruitment initiatives.
Manitoba is back with another set of draws. On February 26, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued a fresh batch of invitations, which is named the Letter of Advice to Apply to candidates both in Manitoba and abroad. These Expression of Interest (EOI) draws were under two pathways of the Skilled Worker Stream.

Manitoba has issued a total of 72 invitations to candidates both within the province and abroad. But the picks weren’t random at all. All of these lucky folks were specifically invited through strategic recruitment initiatives.

Out of the 72 invitations, 11 candidates also have active Express Entry (EE) profiles and valid Ontario Job Seeker validation codes. This gives them a little extra boost in the invitations.
A Quick Note for TPP Invitees: On the list above, you might have noticed the Temporary Public Policy (TPP). Just so you know, that policy is actually closed to new submissions back in December 2025. These remaining invites are wrapping up the tail end of that initiative.

What's Behind "Strategic Recruitment" Initiatives?
So, here is the deal. In the strategic recruitment initiative, you can't just self-select into these draws. Manitoba runs the show here. These initiatives are all about filling specific labour gaps or hitting provincial goals through recruitment missions and exploratory visits. If you’re looking to get on their radar, it’s all about being selected directly by the MPNP through these specific channels.
How to Get Considered in the Strategic Recruitment Initiative?
While criteria can vary depending on the specific initiative, Manitoba generally looks for the essentials:
- You must be 21-45 years old
- You must have stability by proving you don't have stronger ties to another Canadian province.
- You should have at least one year of post-secondary training.
- Two years of full-time work under your belt in the last five years.
- An approved test score of at least CLB 5.
