Alberta Issues Provincial Nomination Invitation Through AAIP to Tourism & Opportunity Stream Candidates

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) recently conducted two draws under separate immigration streams, issuing a total of 158 invitations to apply for provincial nomination.

This marks the 2nd Tourism and Hospitality draw of the year. The Tourism and Hospitality stream which was introduced in 2024 to combat Labour shortages in Alberta's tourism and hospitality sector. To qualify for this stream, applicants must have:
- A minimum of 6 months of employment in Alberta's Tourism or Hospitality industry
- A valid job offer from an approved employer
- Satisfactory education and language proficiency

Eligibility Requirements For Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)
The Alberta Opportunity Stream draw on May 13 is also the second General Draw of 2025 following the previous draw, which was focused on professionals in sectors like Aviation and Construction
As of now, Alberta has a total nomination allocation of 4,850 for the year 2025 of which 2,077 nominations have already been issued. The remaining numbers for each stream are as follows:

Candidates who receive an invitation can apply for provincial nomination. Upon successful nomination acceptance they will get the opportunity to apply for Canadian permanent residency through Canada's IRCC
