IRCC held its fifteenth Express Entry draw, inviting a large number of candidates from all application streams under the Express Entry System. This was the second all-program Express Entry draw of this month, following the last all-program draw on June 8, 2023.
The number of invitees has decreased since the last draw. The June 8 draw invited 4,800 candidates from programs like the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Federal Skilled Workers Program, and the Canadian Experience Class; however, the latest draw invited only 4,300 candidates from all application streams.
The CRS score for this draw remained the same compared to the last draw. For this draw as well, the candidates were required to have a minimum CRS score of 486. This year has seen the second-highest number of invitations sent in March, totaling almost 21,000 from all application streams.
Here is an overview of all the Express Entry draws that have taken place this year.

This year, the IRCC has announced new selection categories for Express Entry candidates, allowing people from around 82 occupations to apply for the category-based selection process. The eligibility criteria involve proficiency in French and proven experience in the following categories:
- healthcare
- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
- trades, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
- transport
- agriculture and agri-food
These categories will substantially help the Canadian government meet the labor crisis in the Canadian job market. IRCC announced on May 31 that it would start holding draws based on the new selection criteria later this Summer.
