Indian Students Eligible for Canada Jobs Paying ₹2,400/hr

Canada’s federal government is offering big work opportunities to students for the Autumn term, with salaries going up to CAD 31.69 (approximately INR 2,400) per hour. However, the role primarily focuses on Canadian citizens and permanent residents, but international students, including Indian students, studying full-time at a recognised Canadian institution, are also eligible to apply.
Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (OSFI) made a remark, stating, “Students who meet the criteria, this is a valuable chance to gain experience in the public sector while pursuing their education”.
Jobs Opportunities Available in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal & More
The four-month work placement period runs from September to October and is based in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. OSFI has also established that some roles may be offered remotely, provided applicants have access to reliable internet.
The federal agency, which supervises banks, insurers, and pension plans, is looking for students across a wide range of disciplines. Applicants do not need prior experience.

The salary scale varies depending on academic level. However, average pay starts at CAD 17.75/hour and goes up to CAD 31.69/hour for students in advanced years or postgraduate programmes.

Departments may place students at higher steps if they meet the following conditions:
- Prior relevant work experience.
- Going back to the same department for another term.
- Completed more than one year of study in their current programme.
- Shortage of students in their discipline.
- Pursuing a second undergraduate degree.
- Qualifying year for professional programmes like law, education or medicine.
