Breaking the draw silence since October 26, the recent Express Entry draw by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) follows a brief acknowledgment on November 14 of technical glitches in the Express Entry Profile Builder.

This hiccup prevented some applicants from submitting their applications, but the issue was promptly resolved by November 16. The exact impact of this technical snag on the extended draw gap remains unclear.

In the October 26 draw, 3,600 candidates received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a category-based selection focusing on healthcare occupations. To qualify, applicants needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 431.

Further draws in the same week included a French-speaking proficiency category-based selection on October 25, inviting 300 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 486.

On October 24, the IRCC conducted a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only draw, issuing ITAs to 1,548 candidates. For this draw, a higher minimum score of 776 was required. Notably, Express Entry candidates nominated through the PNP automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points, contributing to the elevated minimum CRS score for this draw type.
