The UK has announced an increase in fees for expedited or faster immigration processing, which has come into effect from October 21. This hike impacts sponsorship management & license applications, affecting both employers & universities
The United Kingdom has announced an increase in fees for expedited or faster immigration processing, which has come into effect from October 21, 2025 (Tuesday), further extending the pattern of fee hikes over the past two years.
Under the revised structure, the cost for faster visa processing of sponsorship management requests, including workers, temporary workers, and student sponsors, has witnessed a rise by 75% that is, from GBP 200 to GBP 350, respectively.
Similarly, the priority service fees for sponsor licence applications have also been raised from GBP 500 to GBP. 750, which is approximately INR 88,000, reflecting a 50% increase. These fee adjustments would only affect the fast track and priority services, while standard processing visa fees for the UK remain unchanged.
This fee hike follows the earlier fee revisions for certificates of Sponsorship, skilled workers, and visitor visa applications, and the immigration health surcharge.
Updated Fee Structure For Fast Track UK Visas Sponsorships
- Sponsorship management request (workers, temporary workers, or students): GBP 350 (Increased by 75%, from previously GBP 200)
- Priority Service for Sponsor Licence Application: GBP 750 (Increased by 50% from previously GBP 500)
- Standard Processing Fees: No changes
There are no exemptions under the new UK policy, meaning both corporate sponsors and the educational institutions will bear the increased cost.
According to Fragomen, a global Immigration law firm, the updated charges aim to improve adjustment timelines and maintain service quality while offsetting administrative costs.

Fee Revision Impact on Businesses and Universities
The updated fee increase is expected to prompt companies and universities to reassess their visa strategies, rightly balancing costs and processing efficiency. Many educational institutions are already adjusting to financial reforms.
From 2026, UK universities will be permitted to raise tuition fees annually in line with inflation, given that they maintain quality standards. Education Secretary Bridget Philipson, emphasises that the universities failing to meet benchmarks in teaching quality, student outcomes, or support services could face regulatory or financial penalties.
She also added that maintenance loans would also witness an increase every year, with additional aid targeted at low-income households.
