Canada has eliminated the field of study restriction for Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility, making it easier for college graduates to stay and work in the country. This change aligns college policies with those of universities simplifying the employment process for international students.
Expanded Access of Work Permit
This policy shift benefits over 1.04 million international students, a considerable increase of 20% from the previous year. Approximately 70% of these students apply for a PGWP after graduation, making it a vital pathway for retaining skilled global talent.
