Germany is offering one of the most reliable ways to gain permanent residency, i.e., the Germany Settlement Permit. This permit allows you to live with your family without restrictions and also provides you with the freedom to work in any form, i.e., either as a full-time employee or self-employed.
If you are already in Germany, working on a temporary visa, here's how the German Settlement Visa can help you settle in the country.
