Since July 2025, several Canadian immigration pathways' processing times have undergone a significant shift from minor to major changes. Let us have a closer look at the changed processing timelines for different Canada visa types from July 17, 2025.
1. Permanent Residency Applications
The processing time for Express Entry applications has been mostly stable, with only a slight increase noted in the Federal Skilled Worker Program stream.
The current IRCC Service Standard is 180 days.

No reductions have been noted for the processing times for Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) applications; however, the applications not processed through the Express Entry now require a little extra time.
The current IRCC Service Standard for Base PNP is 11months, and for enhanced PNP (electronic) is 180 days
