US Tourist and B1/B2 visa interview wait times shows a significant drop across various consulates in India. Hyderabad recorded the shortest at just 4.5 months, compared to Mumbai and Delhi at 11 months and 6.5 months, respectively.

According to the latest data from the U.S Department of State Global Visa Wait Times portal, some consulates have recorded reduced delays, while others still face heavy backlogs.
Hyderabad, currently, offers the shortest wait time at around 4.5 months, making it the fastest option in India. In contrast, Mumbai has the longest queue with applicants facing wait times of up to 11 months. The US Embassy in New Delhi lists an average delay of 6.5 months, whereas Chennai and Kolkata report wait times of 5 months and 5.5 months, respectively.
