In recent updates from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Canada, 2 provinces have conducted major draws, extending invitations to candidates for permanent residency.
The PNP Canada allows Canadian provinces except Nunavut and Quebec, to select candidates who can effectively integrate into the local economy and address labor shortages. These Provincial Nomination programs greatly enhance a candidate’s application for permanent residency with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Amidst all this the individual provinces are as well implementing their specific guidelines and criteria for selecting candidates for PNP. For example, Alberta PNP has recently implemented new guidelines for its Alberta Opportunity Stream, Rural Renewal Stream, and Accelerated Tech Pathway. These new procedures include monthly application deadlines to streamline processing.
As of July 9, Alberta met its application targets for the Rural Renewal Stream, accepting 160 applications, and the Tourism and Hospitality Stream, which saw 143 applications. By July 11, Alberta had also reached its target for the Alberta Opportunity Stream, processing 444 applications.
