The UK Home Office has announced that the second and final ballot for the India Young Professionals Scheme (YPS) 2025 will open at 1:30 PM IST on July 22, 2025 and close at 1:30 PM IST on July 24, 2025.
The UK-India Young Professionals Scheme was launched in February 2023, allowing 3,000 Indian nationals aged 18-30 to live, work, and study in the UK for up to two years.
If you want to be considered in this scheme, consider that applicants must enter an online ballot. If selected, they can then apply for the visa.
To enter the ballot, you must:
- Be an Indian citizen aged between 18 and 30 years
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
- Have at least GBP 2,530 in personal savings
- Do not have children under 18 who live with you or are financially dependent on you
- Have not previously held a UK-India Young Professionals visa or Youth Mobility Scheme visa
- Apply from outside the UK
On the announcement of the Young Professionals Scheme 2025, Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India, made a remark, saying, “This is an excellent program that helps build a modern understanding of our countries among Brits and Indians alike. I strongly encourage people from all corners of the country to apply—from Itanagar to Coimbatore, from Leh to Surat, and from Bhubaneshwar to Indore.”
