British Columbia and Manitoba Issue Invitations to Candidates Through PNP Draw

British Columbia and Manitoba have invited candidates to apply for Provincial Nominations. As we are aware that provinces have their own specific criteria to assess the eligibility for inviting candidates for PNP, hence it is suggestive to not compare across the provinces PNPs.

Province 1: British Columbia
On November 20 British Columbia conducted a category based draw under its Provincial Nominee Program BC PNP. The draw targeted candidates from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate Streams including the Express Entry BC (EEBC) option.
A total of 16 Invitations to Apply (ITA) were issued with cut off scores varying based on the industries and professions selected.

Candidates have the choice to apply directly with the BCPNP or link their application to an Express Entry profile through the EEBC stream. This pathway offers faster processing time for both the provincial nomination and if approved permanent residency applications.
Province 2: Manitoba
On November 8th Manitoba conducted three separate draws under its Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program MPNP inviting a total of 274 immigration candidates to PNP.
- One of the draws focused specifically on skilled workers in Manitoba with an occupation specific categories and the occupation targeted bus restaurant and food service managers classified under the National Occupation Classification (NOC) 2021 code 60030
- Manitoba issued a total of 41 Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) in its first draw specifically for skilled workers in Manitoba and the minimum score required to receive invitation in this draw was 672
- In the second draw, that was held for the International Education Stream, 188 candidates received LAAs.
- For the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream 45 LAAs were issued to candidates who were invited through a strategic recruitment initiative and the cut off score was marked at 703 respectively.
