Canada’s Express Entry Draw Invites PNP Candidates After CRS Score Change

Canada has resumed its Express Entry draws for April by inviting 825 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates to apply for permanent residency. This marks the first draw of the month and reflects ongoing changes in the system. For this draw, candidates needed a minimum CRS score of 764 and had to create their profiles before 6:35 pm, Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on 17 August 2024.
This draw comes after significant updates to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), including the removal of points for arranged employment. It follows a French language proficiency draw on 21 March and a PNP draw on 17 March.
So far in 2025, 31,508 candidates have received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry. With a goal of welcoming 124,680 newcomers for Canada PR through this system alone, Canada continues to emphasize skilled immigration as a key part of its future growth.
