Saskatchewan Introduces 2 New PR Pathways under SINP for Healthcare and Agriculture

On August 30, 2024, the Saskatchewan province of Canada inaugurated 2 new PR pathways under its Provincial Nominee Program. The new PR pathways’ debut was to address labor shortages in the provincial healthcare and agricultural sectors.
The new Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program streams namely:
- Agriculture Talent Pathway
- Health Talent Pathway
The province’s new pathways showcase Saskatchewan's proactive approach to prioritizing it’s economic and healthcare sector growth by easing the pathway for skilled immigrants to work and settle in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Eligibility Criteria for New SINP Agriculture Talent Pathway for Canada PR
With more than $3.2 billion worth of produce exported in 2023, the Agriculture sector certainly plays a pivotal role in the province’s economy. The SINP Agriculture Talent Pathway is open to individuals aiming to fill in-demand roles in the Agricultural sector. The eligibility criteria for this pathway include:
- Must have an approved language test score of CLB 4 or higher.
- Must have a high secondary school education.
- Must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience in the past 3 years in the relevant occupation or a 6-month full-time work experience (30+ working hours per week) with the employer who provided them the Job Approval Letter.
- Must have an eligible, full-time job offer in the Saskatchewan agricultural sector and a valid SINP Job Approval Letter from the employer.

Eligibility Criteria for New SINP Health Talent Pathway for Canada PR
Saskatchewan has introduced this pathway to meet the demand as per the Saskatchewan Health Human Resource (HHR) action plan. This pathway eases the process of recruiting healthcare professionals into the province. The eligibility requirements for Heath Talent Pathway vary based on the Express Entry or Non-Express Entry immigration program.
General Eligibility Criteria
- Must be eligible to gain a Saskatchewan License (if needed)
- Must have post-secondary education related to the offered job, like a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree, a 3-year degree from a recognized university or college, or a 2-year diploma from a technical or trade school.
- Must have the intent to reside in Saskatchewan
Criteria for Non-Express Entry Pathways Applicants
- Must have a language proficiency score of CLB 5 or above in English or French
- Must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience in the last 5 years in the relevant job roles, or a minimum of 6 months (780 work hours) full-time work experience with the employer who has provided the Job Approval Letter

- Must have a valid Express Entry Profile
- Must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience in the last 5 years in the relevant job roles
- Must have a language proficiency score of CLB 7 or above in English or French
