North Bay Names Designated Employers for RCIP PR Pathway

North Bay, a city in Northeastern Ontario, has officially released its list of designated employers under the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP). As one of the 14 Canadian communities participating in the RCIP, North Bay is offering eligible foreign workers a pathway to permanent residency (PR) through employer driven immigration.

Who Qualifies to Apply for RCIP 2025?
To qualify candidates must have a job offer from a designated employer in the region and meet several additional criteria like:
- The job offer must align with one of the regions identified priority occupations
- Applicants must also meet the requirements related to education, work experience, language ability and proof of settlement funds
Before submitting a PR application to IRCC candidates must first receive a community recommendation which involves employers submitting a recommendation request during the North Bay’s monthly intake periods (typically held in the final week of each month).
Upon receiving the community recommendation approval, candidates will receive a recommendation certificate, making them eligible to apply for permanent residency with IRCC.
