Canada Immigration News: Highlights of PNP Draws from May 03 to 10
Each Canadian province tailors its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) with various streams targeting candidates based on their qualifications, including international students, individuals with job offers, or those with specific occupational experience.
Here are the Canada PR/PNP updates from May 03 - 10:
Province 1: British Columbia
British Columbia has issued invitations to at least 77 candidates through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams, including the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option, as part of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).
The invitations targeted individuals with professional experience in sectors where positions are in high demand, specifically healthcare, childcare, construction, tech, and veterinary care. The minimum cut off scores required for each draw were as follows:
- Childcare: 90
- Construction: 93
- Healthcare: 100
- Tech: 120
- Veterinary care: 80
The International Graduate stream, which includes the EEBC option, is designed for individuals who have graduated from an eligible Canadian university or college within the last 3 years. To be eligible for this stream, candidates must secure a job offer from a B.C. employer.
*The EEBC option indicates that this stream is an enhanced PNP stream aligned with the federal Express Entry system, allowing the BC PNP to invite eligible candidates from the Express Entry pool to immigrate and settle in the province.

Province 2: Manitoba
Manitoba invited 371 candidates through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) last week. The invitations were issued across three different streams and an occupation-specific draw.

- 72024: Supervisors, motor transport, and other ground transit operators
- 73301: Bus drivers, subway operators, and other transit operators
The 2nd draw, an all-program selection, invited 242 candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, including the Manitoba Work Experience and Employer Direct Recruitment pathways, with a minimum ranking score of 836.
The 3rd draw under the International Education Stream invited 76 graduates from Manitoba institutions who meet the province’s labor market needs. This stream includes the Career Employment, Graduate Internship, and International Student Entrepreneur pathways.
The final draw under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream invited 35 candidates with a minimum ranking score of 698. This stream targets candidates abroad with in-demand skills, including the Manitoba Express Entry and Human Capital pathways.
Of the 371 candidates invited, 66 had declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.
