Highlights:
- IRCC holds its fourteenth Express Entry draw.
- ITAs issued: 4,800
- CRS score required: 486
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada held its fourteenth Express Entry draw on June 8, 2023. 4,800 new invitations are sent to eligible candidates from all the application streams. This draw follows the last all-program draw on May 24, 2023.
This was the first all-program draw of June after the last draw in May, which invited the same number of candidates from all the application streams, including the Federal Skilled Trades, Federal Skilled Workers, and Canadian Experience Class.
The CRS score for this draw has decreased by two points from the cut-off for the last draw. For this draw, the candidates were required to have a CRS score of at least 486.
Previously this year, the IRCC had invited more than 21,000 candidates through the back-to-back all-program draws held in March, which had the second-highest number of ITAs issued in one month in the history of Express Entry.
This year IRCC has also announced new selection categories for Express Entry candidates based on French proficiency and work experience in certain fields like
- Healthcare
- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
- trades, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
- Transport
- agriculture and agri-food
These new categories are set to help the federal government meet the labor demand in the Canadian job market.
Here is an overview of all the Express Entry draws that took place this year.

In the upcoming draws, it is expected that IRCC will focus more on specific qualities like work experience or language proficiency. Keeping the vacancies in the labor market in mind, the federal government is looking to welcome a large number of immigrants through the Express Entry stream this year.
