- Last week IRCC issued invitations to PNP nominees
- Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island issued various invitations during the first quarter of this month.
Four Canadian provinces issued fresh invitations to eligible candidates to apply for provincial immigration in the latest rounds of published draw results that were held during the first quarter of May.
These draws were held in addition to the Express Entry draw held this month on May 10, 2023. The latest draw was a PNP-only draw that invited around 589 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 691.
The latest draws by the four provinces took place from May 5-12. Provincial nomination programs let in the highest number of immigrants every year. Also, getting a provincial nomination adds 600 points to a candidate's CRS score
However, Quebec has a different agreement as it is not aligned with the Express Entry system.
So here is an overview of the latest PNP draws that took place during the first quarter of this month.
PNP Draw with Date | Invitations Sent | Description |

Prince Edward Island (May 4) | 122 | Candidates under the Labour and Express Entry streams are invited. |
The recent PNP draws will allow the nominated candidates to apply for a Canadian PR under the IRCC. The candidates can also get invited by the Express Entry system if they also have an Express Entry profile.
Hence, if you are planning to move to Canada, make sure you have checked all the eligibility criteria for a PNP as well as the Express Entry system to amplify your chances of getting a PR.
