On February 23, 2023, Manitoba held a PNP draw, inviting 583 new applicants to apply for PR status. This was the first time Manitoba has held an occupation-specific draw under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, targeting 10 NOC codes. The draw gave a preference to high-scoring profiles, as 207 profiles with scores of 615 or above received LAAs in this draw.

The last draw that took place on February 9, 2023, invited 322 new applicants. That program also saw considerable stress on the “Skilled Workers in Manitoba” stream, as 221 LAAs were received solely by applicants from this stream.

In the latest draw, the “Skilled Workers Overseas” stream received three more invites than in the previous draw, which invited only 21 applicants from the stream.

These professions have projected the highest labour shortages in the labour force survey conducted by the authorities.

Besides the applicants from the "Skilled Workers in Manitoba" category, those from the "International Education" stream, "Skilled Workers Overseas," and profiles that can show a valid Express Entry profile number have also received LAAs through the recently concluded draw.

Who are not Eligible?

• Live-in caregivers currently living in Canada
• Spouse of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

• Got rejected by the MPNP in last six months.
